All Creatures Great and Small

On Saturday, some 20 people and 10 dogs gathered in the garden at Compton for a blessing of pets. Items representing absent pets were also brought--we aren't sure how many. The renovation of the lawn next to the church has made such gatherings possible. Upcoming, on Saturday, Oct. 18, we'll have a lawn cleanup and garden winterizing day starting at 2 p.m., to be followed by a cookout, marshmallow roast and folk singing around a fire pit, all at the Kreuger's new condo community.

Thanks for "covering" the Pet Blessing and especially for the wonderful picture of Shannon and Matt's Wedding. I have a thought! We need to keep covering the Compton Cares Campaign, but the blog does such a great job of sharing other Compton Heights Life. We talked once about it becoming the online source for our activities and whatever we would like to make available. As you had suggested it could be linked easily from the website. Maybe a part of that change would be to eventually change the name of the blog -- so that people think of it as broader than Compton Cares. I think this can be new step for us! (That you have already perfected!)
